Haumaru Housing tenant Christine shares her story about how she settled into one of Haumaru's communities

Sharing Tenants' Stories

Hear first-hand how good, affordable rental homes give seniors hope, connection and stability.

We believe it's a privilege to provide safe, affordable rental homes for older people, and we're committed to developing positive communities for our tenants.

More than just putting a roof over someone's head, our focus is on providing stable, secure long-term tenancies for senior citizens and creating inclusive communities that support people to live independently in a home to call their own. Having a cost-effective rental solution can change the lives of older adults.

Don’t just take our word for it, though – hear from two of our tenants, Joan and Christine, who share their stories of how they came to apply to Haumaru Housing and are now happily settled into their new homes in Auckland.

For Joan and Christine, choosing Haumaru wasn't just about needing a place to live - it was about connecting with a supportive neighbourhood and finding a place of their own, enabling them to lead safe, fulfilling lives. Watch their videos and hear first-hand about the circumstances that led them to finding a peaceful home within a Haumaru community.
